About the Program
Teaching and research activities for the Postgraduate Program in Geosciences (PPGEOC) at the Federal University of Pernambuco began in 1973 with the creation of the Master's Course focused on Sedimentary Geology and Hydrogeology; having been accredited along with the Federal Council for Education (CFE) in 1982. In 1978, concentration areas that had already been in place were added to Mineralogy and Petrology, which was also accredited by the CFE in 1992.
